Using at first Telefunken metal tubes of so-called "11th Series" (DCH 11, DF 11, etc.) made by Telefunken, the WR 1 was redesigned in 1941 for the new glass tubes of "25th Series" (DC 25, DF 25, etc.) with loctal base made by Philips.
