Wired Communications (1924-1945)

  • Nora VW 1 - Terminal unit of "NF-Drahtfunk" early wired broadcast system (1924-1939). Using regular telephone lines, the "NF-Drahtfunk" allowed the terminal owner to listen over a telephone line, to just one broadcast program which would be interrupted every time when external phone calls arrived.

The next generation of German wired broadcast system, the "HF-Drahtfunk" approved in 1939, allowed to listen to 3 broadcast programs over the telephone lines without any interruptions by the incoming phone calls.
