radio set. Covered 23.1…24.95 MHz, A2 / A3,
10 W output. Powered by U 10a dynamotor from
12 VDC armored vehicle battery. Manufactured by
Telefunken from 1938.

Fu 16 (full identification Fu 16 SE 10 U) was self-propelled
artillery 10-watt VHF radio set consisting of Ukw.E.h
receiver and 10 W.S.h transmitter. Used for communications
between self-propelled artillery vehicles and army
commanders. No communications to tank regiments supported
because in Wehrmacht self-propelled artillery was part of
regular army field troops (Heer).
Receiver and transmitter
of Fu 16 looking exactly the same as Ukw.E.e and 10 W.S.c of
tank Fu 5 radio set. The differences between Fu 5 and Fu 16
were in operating frequencies (Fu 5 covered 27.2…33.3 MHz)
and in additional LSG (Fu) b loudspeaker which was
characteristic of Fu 16 only.
