The
RM-29 was in fact an EE-8 field telephone placed in a metal box together with
BA-27 dry battery. Another part of RC-290 remote control unit was regular EE-8
field telephone in a leather bag. RC-290
have been used with a dozen of radio sets, from SCR-178 to SCR-694
as well as with GRC-9. Supplied to the USSR together with SCR-284
(BC-654-A radio), SCR-399 and SCR-499.
